As our company scales, we're in search of a full-time Data Analyst to join our expanding team. As a Data Analyst, you will work directly with customers on high-impact immediate problems – interpreting, explaining, and ultimately bringing life to their data. Based on your analysis, you will use H2Ok’s ML platform to build machine learning models that drive value for our customers, saving them time, water, and energy. Your responsibilities will look similar to those of a hands-on AI startup CTO where you will work cross-functionally in sales, customer success, and product delivery to own the delivery of high-impact projects to global clients. The ideal candidate is an excellent critical thinker, a clear and engaging communicator, and knows how to not only explain data, but how to tell a compelling story. Having a background in chemical engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering, or computer science is a plus.

What You Will Do

Analyze data from some of the largest factories in the world to identify process inefficiencies, anomalies, and areas of potential optimization.
Interpret, explain, and shed light on complex data through engaging presentations and live demonstrations to customers and internal stakeholders.
Use H2Ok’s ML platform to train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models to unlock additional factory uptime and deliver time, energy, and water savings.
Apply critical thinking and first principles knowledge to solve challenging, real-world problems in factories, breweries, food & beverage facilities, and more.
Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and customer stakeholders to ensure models are performant, reliable, and aligned with customer needs.

About You

Fluent in analyzing, understanding, and communicating about data, especially time-series data or sensor data.
Willing to work directly with customers to explain model results, data analysis, and conclusions from data in a clear, engaging, and succinct way.
Skilled in data storytelling and visualization.
Can create engaging, colorful visualizations for customers that bring data to life and provide insight.
Experienced with presenting data and communicating results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experienced with Python, including numerical libraries (such as NumPy and Pandas) and familiar with at least one ML framework (such as Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).
Familiar training, fine-tuning, and evaluating performance of machine learning models. Familiar with SQL or similar database systems (such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
Experienced with Git or other version control systems.
Analytical thinker with the ability to solve complex problems efficiently.
Excellent communication skills to articulate technical issues, solutions, and progress effectively.
Adaptability to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving project requirements.
Strong team player mindset, comfortable sharing knowledge and collaborating within a team environment.
Familiarity with industrial processes and manufacturing industries such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, CPG, brewing, dairy, and industrial controls (PLC/SCADA/DCS) is a strong plus.

Our Interview Process

1. Phone screen with Laminar Head of Ops or Recruiter (15-20 minutes)

2. Intro call with Hiring Manager (30 minutes)

3. On-site interview, including short tour of GTL, overview of tech, and interview/presentation with the Hiring Manager and a few team members. Depending on the role, a skills exercise that should take no longer than an hour to prep, would be sent ahead of time. We record your skills exercise to share with any team members who could not join the interview and/or with Founder's ahead of their Founder's Interview. If you are not local, we can conduct this virtually.

4. Finalists for Full-Time positions will have a Founder’s Interview in-person

Final steps:

Two professional references are requested, ideally one from your current organization and one who served as your Manager

If an Offer Letter is extended, a Background check is conducted
