As our company grows and scales, we’re looking for an exceptional Edge Device Applications Engineer to join our engineering team and help scale the core IoT technology behind Laminar's platform. Since we are a small team, we’re constantly picking up new challenges and really value engineers who can spot a problem and just get it done. You’ll play a key role in deploying and supporting our sensing and edge compute systems in the field, while also writing the software that powers them. We’re looking for hands-on builders who thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy solving tough technical problems, and want their work to have lasting real-world impact.

    • Engineer the Edge — Develop and maintain firmware and applications for Linux-based gateways and embedded devices in Python and C/C++
    • Integrate Sensors — Use C to integrate new sensors into our sensor platform, implementing drivers and communication protocols so devices can interface reliably with our gateway.
    • Strengthen the Platform — Improve Linux-based services for networking, security, and OTA updates, increasing the reliability and scalability of our deployments.
    • Partner with Customers — Work directly with plant engineers, IT, and OT teams to ensure successful integration and long-term operability of our systems.
    • Scale What Works — Create automation scripts, diagnostic tools, and playbooks to streamline deployments across hundreds of facilities worldwide.

    • Comfortable configuring Linux networking, firewalls, and security services.
    • Hands-on engineer who thrives equally in the lab and on the plant floor.
    • Ability to travel 30% of the time Strong communicator with customer-facing confidence, able to translate technical details into practical solutions.
