We're seeking an exceptional Chief of Staff to join our dynamic team and work directly with the CEO and CTO to accelerate our growth and strategic initiatives. You will act as an extension to the CEO and CTO. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in scaling a high impact cleantech startup and shaping the future of the industrial AI landscape while learning extraordinarily quickly. We are looking for outlier individuals with strong strategic written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and execution capability.

What You Will Do

Finance & Reporting: Own company-wide budgeting, financial reporting, and Board meeting preparation. Lead development and tracking of key KPIs across all functions. Drive financial modeling, forecasting, and cash flow management to support strategic planning. Oversee budgeting processes, resource allocation, and basic accounting.
Strategic Partnership and Execution: Work closely with the CEO and CTO and provide operational support and manage the execution of key strategic priorities across departments including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Engineering, and more.
Operational Efficiency: Support our Head of Operations and help with operations. Both identify and own areas for improvement, optimize workflows, and implement systems to support rapid growth while maintaining a high level of efficiency and quality.
Market & Industry Research and Modeling: Conduct market research and industry research on further company development, lead data analysis efforts to provide insights that drive business decisions and conduct market modeling/documentation development.
Communication: Discern tone of voice of the CEO and CTO and execute on written and verbal communication in stakeholder, board, investor, internal, and external communication.
Process creation and documentation development: Identify opportunities in the company and own creating processes to drive improvement. Create documentation.
Team Culture & Development: Foster a mission-driven, relentless, creative, and empire-building team culture. Interface with Operations team and assist in recruiting and talent development to build a world-class team.
Idea execution: Our founders (and team) have a lot of ambitious ideas. Interface with the right functional team if applicable to prioritize, plan, roadmap, and execute on them to make sure no balls get dropped.
Jack of all trades: Ability to be flexible, execute diverse tasks that arise cross-functionally, and be willing to do whatever it takes.

About You

Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in consulting, finance/investment banking, operations, product management, or strategy. Ability to exceptionally perform in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment. Experience in a startup environment within industrial technology, cleantech, or Physical AI solutions preferred.
Finance: Strong experience including the following: Financial Modeling & Forecasting, Budgeting & Resource Allocation, Startup Metrics & KPIs, Fundraising Support, Cash Flow Management, Grant & Incentive Financials, Understanding Business Models, and Basic Accounting.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams, influence key stakeholders, and drive the execution of complex projects. Exceptional ability to learn new topics quickly, learn first principles of different disciplines, and working on multi-disciplinary projects.
Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of AI, IoT, and other cutting-edge technologies in the industrial space. Experience with process manufacturing or sustainability in industries is a plus.
Strategic Mindset: A proactive, forward-thinking problem solver who thrives in a fast-moving startup environment and is excited to take on challenging diverse problems.
Excellent Communication: Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives for external industry, investors, partners, and internal teams.

Our Interview Process

1. Phone screen with Laminar Head of Ops or Recruiter (15-20 minutes)

2. Intro call with Hiring Manager (30 minutes)

3. On-site interview, including short tour of GTL, overview of tech, and interview/presentation with the Hiring Manager and a few team members. Depending on the role, a skills exercise that should take no longer than an hour to prep, would be sent ahead of time. We record your skills exercise to share with any team members who could not join the interview and/or with Founder's ahead of their Founder's Interview. If you are not local, we can conduct this virtually.

4. Finalists for Full-Time positions will have a Founder’s Interview in-person

Two professional references are requested, ideally one from your current organization and one who served as your Manager

If an Offer Letter is extended, a Background check is conducted
